Toronto Early Music Players Organization
The Toronto Early Music Players Organization (TEMPO) is a group of amateur musicians who promote the appreciation of early music. We provide a venue for amateur musicians to play together in professionally coached sessions. Workshops on various topics in early music run monthly from September to May with a new coach each month. TEMPO was founded in 1984 and welcomes new members!

Workshops run monthly on Sundays, September to May, 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
Our new venue is The Bishop Strachan School (BSS). We will be playing in the Main Room of the Student Centre.
Entry/Exit
TEMPO participants should enter and exit BSS via the Frum Sokolowski Entrance at 365 Russell Hill Rd.
It is best to route to 365 Russell Hill, rather than the official BSS address, as BSS on map apps brings you to the Lonsdale Rd entrance. Please do not enter via the Lonsdale Rd. entrance.
Parking
There is a circular driveway directly in front of the Frum Sokolowski Entrance off Russel Hill Rd. We may park in “staff parking” on Sunday.
At the Frum Sokolowski Entrance press the entrance button and Security will open the door. Sign in with Security, then turn right to the end of the corridor, then left to the Main Entrance of the Student Centre. Doors will be open by 1:15.
Sessions will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.
Those attending in person will need to bring their music, a stand, and their instrument.
